About Camp Lake Park

48118 Rge Rd 112 Ryley AB, T0B 4A0 53.126816, -111.523562

Camp Lake Park is the perfect getaway for families looking for a lake vacation! The park has two long sandy beaches, basketball, beach volleyball, boat launch with boat trailer parking, big playground and horseshoe pits. It has a little something for everyone! The well maintained park has a concession that sells basic camping materials and ice cream. The treed sites are private and large enough for bigger units to fit comfortably. This campground is highly recommended and is perfect for campers from Edmonton as it is under a 2 hour drive.

This campground has 52 sites. It is open from May 15th to September 15th.

Stayed there three night during mid-week. Staff very friendly and helpful.. Well treed areas with some group electrified sies. The swimming area in the day use is widely separated from the boat launch area and roped off. Clean water and beach. wuiet when we were there.

There are just three things that could be improved. 1. The washrooms are closed and locked at 10pm, which sould be improved with the use of coded locks on the doors allowing campers to access the facilities at all hours. They tell us to use the outhouses after 10 and before 8 AM but those are few and far between. 2 . Although not the fault of the County nor Park staff, cell phone service is spotty and almost nonexistant. The County should perhaps encourage the cell phone companies to improve coverage in the area.

All in all a pleasant park and would be sure to return in the future.

Not sure how to edit my previous review but the grandkids thought the playground was great.
