About Castle Falls Campground

Pincher Creek AB, T0K 1W0 49.444955, -114.324242

Castle Falls Provincial Recreational Area is truly one of a kind. This is partly due to the spectacular Rocky Mountain Castle River. The river provides great activities like walk-and-wade fly fishing, floating, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and even cold water scuba diving. The Castle Falls area provides great pools for swimming and relaxing on the smooth riverside rocks. The river is famous for Bull Trout fishing so make sure to bring your rod! Excellent hikes and nature walks also run along the banks of the river. The campground is nestled next to Castle River and also provides a splendid experience. Although the campground is fairly basic in terms of amenities, it more than makes up for it with beautiful sites and views of the Rocky Mountains. The campsites are very private as each site is nestled in the natural forest. Reservations are accepted up until September 8th. After the 8th the campground runs on a first come, first serve basis. Overall, nature lovers will adore this campground and it shouldn't be overlooked!

This campground has 46 sites. It is open from May 6th to October 15th.

A nice little campground if you don't need any fancy amenities. The falls are a stones through away from the campground.
