This campground is exactly as promised. Sites are large and you enjoy the space between your neighbors.
Plenty of fishing and hiking spots. Staff were very knowledgable. Well worth the drive.

We spent one night here in August 2014, looking for a place to stop en route to Jasper. Just outside Hinton, in William Switzer Provincial Park, this campground has a boat launch, flush toilets, picnic shelters, a small playground and showers. The sites are nicely treed. The lake looked really nice for canoeing and possibly fishing. There are some bike trails that go around the campground that would have been nice to try if we had time.

The tenting loop (unserviced) is closest to the lake, seemed like those were the nicest sites. Avoid sites next to the dumpsters.

It was handy on our way to the campground to stop at Wal-Mart on the west side of Hinton to grab a few grocery items before turning off the main highway to head into the provincial park.
